Prior to Joining OMF:
The Grandemanges have been based in Brisbane, Australia. Daniel (a coach builder—buses) and Megan (administration and sales) are members of Forest Lake Baptist Church, have both studied at BST (Brisbane School of Theology), have one beautiful daughter, Sophia, and they are expecting their second child in June 2019.
Daniel and Megan first went to Thailand on a short-term mission trip in 2013. It was there they saw the immense need for the Gospel to be heard amongst the Thai people and the small number of God’s people there to share it. They could see the need for more workers, particularly those with practical skills, and so they desired to encourage others to go. However, before even returning home they began to ask themselves why they should not also go long term. They returned to Thailand in 2015 for one year. During this time, God impressed on their hearts, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Luke 10:2). It was then that God clearly called them to be part of fulfilling the Great Commission.
Where to Now?
After completing their language and cultural studies in Lopburi (Central Thailand), Daniel and Megan will be serving alongside the OMF South Thailand church-planting team, in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat. They desire, to help lead people to faith in Jesus Christ by building relationships and rapport with the local community. They will be involved in activities such as English teaching and outdoor adventure ministry, in addition to regular evangelistic activities.
Please Pray for:
– Cross-cultural move
– Sophia would settle in well
